Public Works
The Bensalem Township Public Works Department is located just a few blocks from the Bensalem Municipal Building at 3800 Hulmeville Road. The hours of operation are 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. The telephone number for maintenance requests is 215-633-3733. Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining all Township owned streets. Maintenance also includes:
- Sweeping
- Plowing
- Salting
- Line stripping
- Repaving
This division of the Township also maintains storm drains. The Public Works Department also maintains township open space, which includes all Township owned park and recreation facilities. Additionally, they service and inspect all township owned vehicles including police vehicles. They oversee the maintenance and repairs of all traffic signals and streetlights. Emergencies during off hours (i.e., malfunctioning traffic signal) should be called into Police Dispatch at 215-633-3700.
